Celebrate Read Across America Day on March 1

Green Eggs and HamOn March 1, schools, parents, students, celebrities, and readers of all ages are invited to take part in a Seussational Celebration.

Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program for every child in every community each March, celebrating the value of reading and the birthday of the beloved Dr. Seuss.

Thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers across the country will bring together kids and adults to celebrate the joys of reading.

How Partners can participate
Help celebrate Read Across America by promoting the importance of reading – inspire the children in your life to pick up books and become lifelong readers.

Here are some resources to help:

So eat your green eggs and ham, put a fox in some socks, speak for the trees, and grab your hat and read with the cat.
