Changes coming to standardized testing in PA

For years, parents and educators have been speaking out about the negative impact of high-stakes standardized testing on students and schools.

This year, change is in the air.

That's because elected officials have taken steps at the national and state levels to stem the high-stakes consequences of standardized testing on students.

Pennsylvania students will continue to be tested, but changes to how those test results are used may reduce the need for excessive testing prep. Less emphasis on testing prep means more time for students to learn in the classroom.
