Connecting at school and at home

Online Learning

More and more schools across the nation are connecting with parents and students online. Students are completing homework assignments on laptops, parents are accessing report cards on iPads, and teachers are keeping families in the loop with email newsletters.

This online connection is a good reminder that our public schools belong to all of us. We all have a role to play. The school door is always open, but if you can't make it to the building, it's nice to know that you can get photos and updates on Twitter, Facebook, or in your email inbox.

Online learning is also one important way that support professionals and educators focus on the needs of the whole child — by making sure that students are actively engaged in their education and connected to their schools and communities.
