Getting great books in the hands of young readers

Reading together

Teachers, parents, and other community members work together every day to encourage young people to read and to make good reading practices a part of their lives.

To help introduce even more kids to new worlds of imagination, Partners for Public Education and the PA State Education Association (PSEA) are coordinating drives this fall to put great books in the hands of students who need them.

These book drives will be structured to meet the specific needs of the families in the communities where they are held. Book collections may focus on books for specific age groups, such as Pre-K or school-age children, or focus on a theme, such as health and wellness or preserving the environment.
