College students who are studying to be educators gathered at Cornell Elementary and High School outside Pittsburgh on March 31 to take part in the annual Outreach to Teach community service project sponsored by Student PSEA. The educators in training painted murals, hung banners, designed bulletin boards, and restocked the school’s library. They worked late on a Friday night as part of the group’s annual “Outreach to Teach” service project. Their collective action will make a difference for the students in Cornell, and is evidence of the energy and empathy they will bring to classrooms in the future.
